2022 College Prescription Drug Study
The College Prescription Drug Study (CPDS) is a multi-institutional survey of undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The CPDS examines non-medical prescription drug use, including the reasons for and consequences of use, perceived access to prescription drugs and perceptions of use among students. The purpose of the CPDS is to understand the non-medical use of prescription drugs among college students. The CPDS was developed as a collaboration between The Ohio State University’s Center for the Study of Student Life, Student Wellness Center, and College of Pharmacy. The American College Health Association's Connected College Health Network is a multi-year project to advance educational achievement and health equity among young adults attending institutions of higher education throughout the United States through the creation of a college health national data project. Monitoring the Future (College Students)
Monitoring the Future is a research program conducted at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research under a series of grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. The study comprises several ongoing series of annual surveys of nationally representative samples of 8th-, 10th-, and 12th-grade students, and high school graduates followed into adulthood. The American College Health Association’s National College Health Assessment is a nationally recognized survey that assists colleges and universities collect data about their students’ health habits, including alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use; mental health; and personal safety and violence. NCAA Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Study
The NCAA’s Student-Athlete Health and Wellness Study is a national study of college student-athletes conducted in 2022-23 in collaboration with campus faculty athletics representatives. This study examined student-athlete mental health concerns and peer support, sleep behaviors, attitudes toward weight and body image, nutrition, competition and injury history, and substance use experiences. This new, comprehensive study subsumes many of the survey items from the NCAA Substance Use Study and incorporates a range of health and wellness items previously used in other NCAA studies (e.g., NCAA GOALS, Social Environments, Well-Being).
