(Action News Now) The Drug Enforcement Administration partnered with law enforcement agencies across the nation Saturday to help remove unneeded medications from homes.
At Chico State University, University Police set up a drop-off station on the sidewalk on the Chico State campus.
Bryce Davison, a lieutenant for the University Police Department, tells Action News Now that more than 4,000 law enforcement agencies around the United States took park in the annual event.
"We're constantly trying to help people that are suffering from addiction and I think one of the best things to do is prevention, and that is what this is all about, trying to prevent unused and unwanted medications from getting into the wrong hands, being available for children."
